Peach Basil Sangria (aka Your New Summer Crush)
Welcome to your “this tastes like vacation” moment.
This Peach Basil Sangria is fresh, juicy, and just boozy enough to make you feel like the main character in a lakeside romance novel (which, let’s be real, you kind of are this month). It’s the kind of drink that looks fancy in the pitcher, pairs perfectly with a book in one hand, and lowkey turns your Tuesday afternoon into a garden party.
Whether you’re hosting your book club besties or sipping solo with your current read (July’s pick: Every Summer After 👀), this sangria brings major summer energy with minimal effort.
🍷 What You’ll Need (1 Serving)
1 bottle dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio is perfect)
1/4 cup brandy (or skip it if you’re keeping things light)
2 ripe peaches, thinly sliced
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup honey or agave (adjust to taste)
Juice of 1 lemon
1–2 cups sparkling water or club soda, added just before serving
How to Make It:
Step 1: Add the sliced peaches, torn basil, lemon juice, and honey to a big pitcher. Stir gently. If you want a little more basil flavor, give it a quick muddle.
Step 2: Pour in your wine and brandy. Stir again and pop the whole thing in the fridge for at least 1 hour (but 2–4 is best). Let those flavors mingle like old summer flings at a reunion.
Step 3: Just before serving, add sparkling water or club soda for a bubbly finish. Give it one final stir, taste, and adjust the sweetness or citrus if you feel like it.
Step 4: Pour over ice, garnish with a peach slice and basil sprig, and try not to sip the whole pitcher before the first chapter’s done.
Make a zero-proof version with sparkling white grape juice and skip the brandy. Same vibes, none of the buzz. Perfect for daytime reading or when you’re being “responsible-ish.”
