Smoky Peach Bourbon Smash (Your New Summer Bonfire Drink)
Lately I’ve been daydreaming about a life that’s part prairie romance, part summer playlist, and entirely wrapped in the glow of a bonfire. You know the vibe: a barefoot evening under string lights, a tatted, guitar-playing man crooning by the fire, and the kind of warmth that comes from both bourbon and blushing cheeks.
If that’s the energy you're chasing too, I’ve got the perfect cocktail to match the mood — chilled, smoky, a little sweet, and entirely unforgettable. Introducing: the Smoky Peach Bourbon Smash.
This one tastes like golden hour, feels like a flirt, and sips like a slow dance under the stars.
What You’ll Need (2 Servings)
Because dreamy moments are always better when shared.
4 oz bourbon (a smoky or bold one works beautifully)
1 ripe peach, sliced (or 2 oz peach nectar if you're short on time)
1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Dash of smoked paprika or 1–2 drops of liquid smoke (go easy — a little goes a long way)
Fresh mint
Crushed ice
Sparkling water (optional, for a bubbly twist)
✨ How to Make It:
Muddle the Magic
In a cocktail shaker or sturdy glass, toss in the peach slices (or peach nectar), maple syrup (or honey), lemon juice, a few mint leaves, and your dash of smoked paprika or liquid smoke. Muddle it like you mean it—until the peach is broken down and the mint smells like summer memories.Add the Bourbon
Pour in the bourbon—go bold or go home. Add a handful of crushed ice and shake it up like you’re dancing barefoot on a back porch.Strain & Pour
Strain into two lowball glasses filled with more crushed ice. If you’re in the mood for a little fizz (and when are we not?), top with a splash of sparkling water.Garnish & Glow Up
Garnish with a peach wedge and a sprig of fresh mint. Bonus points for serving it with a slow song and a sly smile.Garnish with a mint sprig and a peach wedge. Serve with a wink and maybe a slow song.
Vibe pairing: A linen button-up, bare feet in the grass, and a playlist with Tyler Childers, Caamp, and Fleetwood Mac.
P.S. If you’re sipping this with someone who can sing and slow dance? Don’t let that one go.
